The City of Tamarac offers a variety of ways for interested community residents to volunteer and potentially serve on several advisory boards and committees. You may also sign up to receive various types of notifications from the City of Tamarac by visiting: https://www.tamarac.gov/list.aspx  

OPEN APPLICATION PERIOD:

A new application period will be open from Sunday, March 15, through Sunday, March 22, for all Tamarac districts. 

The City of Tamarac will be accepting applications for the Firefighters Pension Board, the Police Pension Board, and the Veterans' Affairs Committee. 

Please review the information provided for each board or committee you are interested in to ensure you are aware of the requirements, as well as the meeting dates and times.

Residency Requirements

Each member of a board, committee, or commission of the City of Tamarac shall be a resident or an owner or employee of a business located in the city. Failure to be a resident, a business owner, or an employee of a business located in the city shall result in forfeiture of the position on the board, committee, or commission. This section does not apply to staff who have been appointed to a board, committee, or commission as part of their work responsibilities.
