Welcome to the City of Tamarac’s Information Technology Department!
As the City’s Chief Information Officer, I am honored to lead a forward-thinking and service-driven team that is reimagining how technology empowers government, engages residents, and enhances quality of life across our vibrant Tamarac community.
Technology today is more than infrastructure — it is the foundation for public trust, equity, transparency, and resilience. In Tamarac, we are proud to operate one of the most modern municipal technology environments in the State of Florida. Our accomplishments reflect a shared commitment to delivering innovation with purpose, guided by our city’s vision of Excellence Always.
Through our newly updated 10-Year IT Strategic Plan, we are setting the direction for digital transformation across all departments. From launching immersive tourism platforms like Skynav, to modernizing constituent service through our Amazon Connect Omni-Channel Call Center and multilingual Alexa Skills, to embracing artificial intelligence in our business operations — technology is embedded in every service we provide.
We are also advancing smart city infrastructure, digital equity tools, cybersecurity modernization, and public safety technologies that keep our community connected and protected. Strategic partnerships with academic institutions, innovators, and regional collaborators allow us to test and scale ideas that make government more accessible and responsive.
As CIO, I view our department’s role not just as technology providers, but as strategic partners helping every City function innovate for the future. It is a privilege to lead such a dedicated and talented IT team who work every day to serve the public good.
