This project includes the demolition and site preparation of four City facilities located at the following:
- Location 1 - 4949 N. State Road 7
- Location 2 - 4959 N. State Road 7
- Location 3 - 3660 NW 50th Street
- Location 4 - Shaker Village Clubhouse located between Commercial Blvd and Canterbury Lane, within the Shaker Village community

April 1, 2025
Pre-Construction Meeting
A pre-construction meeting was held on April 1, 2025. Demolition of the Shaker Village community center was completed April 23, 2025, along with grading and hydroseeding of the site.
June 25, 2024
Asbestos Report
Grass growth from hydroseeding has begun at the proposed East Side Community location. An asbestos report has been completed for both the SR7/441 buildings and Trapeze property along Commercial Blvd. The report identified asbestos at both locations, requiring the contractor to obtain asbestos permit

July 31, 2025
Demolition
An
early start demolition application was required by Broward County for both the SR7/441
buildings and Trapeze property locations. The application has been approved and fees paid,
allowing Broward County to issue demolition permits to begin removal of the buildings.
