Caporella Park Overflow Parking Lot Expansion

This design/build project includes the design and construction of the Caporella Park Overflow Parking Lot project. The proposed project site will include the development of existing off-site parcels located at 2400 NW 53rd street (city owned parcels) with a proposed new overflow parking lot to service Caporella Park. The work shall include a dedicated Right-of-Way crosswalk and advanced Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacon (RRFB) warning systems (to cross Prospect Road at Caporella Park entrance), ADA compliant parking lot, pavement markings and signage, associated drainage modifications, security lighting & fencing, and fiber network infrastructure facilities (powered fiber connections & infrastructure, security/Wi-Fi poles, video surveillance, etc.).

Public Service Project Management team reviewed 100% design plans and submitted plans for a June 26th Pre Development Review Committee (DRC) meeting. The meeting resulted in several comment from City planner requiring adjustment to the plans to meet city codes.
