Attention Tamarac Veterans
The City of Tamarac has established a “Veterans Honor Wall” to honor residents who have served in the military. This includes veterans either living or deceased, current Tamarac residents as well as those who have ever lived in the City. The Honor Wall is at Tamarac Veterans’ Park located at the corner of University Drive and Southgate Boulevard. The park is home to the City’s annual Memorial Day and Veterans Day ceremonies. The wall features the veteran’s name, rank, branch of service, and years of service. Panels 1-13 have been installed and feature the names of 1,300 Tamarac veterans.
If you are interested in having a name displayed on the wall, a simple application must be submitted to the Tamarac Historical Society for review. In addition, proof of Tamarac residency and proof of honorable discharge from the military are required. Applications can be completed by residents or their survivors.
The application form is available online here Version OptionsNewsHeadline or to request an application form by mail, please call (954) 597-3621. You can also visit:
