TAMARAC, Fla. (July 3, 2024) – The Tamarac Historical Society is thrilled to announce the celebration of its 15th anniversary with a special reception on Saturday, July 13, at 11 a.m. This milestone event will occur at the Tamarac Community Center Ballroom, 8601 W. Commercial Blvd.
Over the past 15 years, the Society has established itself as the authority on the history of the City of Tamarac. From archiving historical documents to organizing educational events, the Tamarac Historical Society is dedicated to researching, collecting, preserving and showcasing the City’s history. The Historical Society has played an integral role in keeping Tamarac’s heritage alive for future generations.
The anniversary reception will be a journey back in time, offering guests a taste of Tamarac's culinary past. Attendees can sample various recipes once featured in the Tamarac Topics newspaper, dating from 1966 to 1974, providing a delicious and nostalgic experience reflecting the community’s traditions and culture. This year’s celebration theme is “Giving Back to the City of Tamarac.”

"The recipes from Tamarac Topics are more than just dishes; they are a connection to our past and a testament to Tamarac's diverse and vibrant history. This event is a wonderful opportunity for residents to come together, share stories and honor our City's legacy."
Recipe samples will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. One hundred guests will also receive a complimentary cookbook featuring those cherished recipes. Admission is free.
