TAMARAC, Fla. (Sept. 13, 2024) – Registration is open for one of South Florida’s most cherished Thanksgiving Day traditions: The 44th Annual Tamarac Turkey Trot 5K Run! The race takes place on Thanksgiving morning, Thursday, Nov. 28, at 7:30 a.m., from Tamarac City Hall, 7525 NW 88th Ave.
Since its inception in 1980, this Thanksgiving morning race has been a tradition for Tamarac residents, neighbors and friends, who gather to kick off their holiday weekend with fun and fitness.
Registration is open to runners, walkers and wheelchair users of all ages. The first 2,000 registrants will receive a 2024 commemorative Tamarac Turkey Trot t-shirt. All attendees wearing a race bib who complete the 5K will receive a medal. Trophies will be awarded to the top three overall male and female finishers and age group winners.
Online registration is available at www.Tamarac.org/TurkeyTrot until noon Wednesday, Nov. 27, or until all slots are filled. Registration fees are $25 until Sunday, Oct. 13, $30 from Oct. 14 to Nov. 17 and $35 from Nov.18 to 27. Same-day race registration will be unavailable.
