TAMARAC NAMED 2025 MAYORS MUNICIPAL INNOVATION AWARD WINNER

Press Releases Posted on August 04, 2025

Tamarac, Fla. (August 1, 2025) – The Florida League of Mayors, an organization founded and developed by Florida’s mayors, announced the winners of its 2025 Mayors Municipal Innovation Awards. Among the honorees is the City of Tamarac, recognized with the Service Delivery Improvement Award for its Transforming Municipal Service Delivery project.

“The Mayors Municipal Innovation Awards recognize the bold ideas and smart solutions that move our communities forward,” said Nancy Miller, FLM President and Mayor of Daytona Beach Shores. “This year’s winners are leading the way with projects that not only meet local needs but also inspire a higher standard of excellence for municipalities across the state.”

“It will be my pleasure to accept the Florida League of Mayors (FLM) Mayors Municipal Innovation Award in the Service Delivery Improvement category for the City’s Transforming Municipal Service Delivery project on August 13. While I’m honored to accept this recognition on behalf of the City, it means even more knowing that Tamarac is the only city to be recognized three years in a row since the FLM Awards Program began! We were honored in 2023 for the Tamarac Pet Pantry, in 2024 for the Shine Tamarac Campaign, and now in 2025 for the Omni-Channel Call Center Solution. Kudos to Team Tamarac!”

The Mayors Municipal Innovation Awards, sponsored by the Florida League of Mayors, highlight and share creative initiatives that enhance municipal governance and improve the quality of life for residents.

Awards will be presented at the Florida League of Mayors’ Annual Membership/Business Meeting in August, held in conjunction with the Florida League of Cities’ Annual Conference.

The other 2025 Mayors Municipal Innovation Awards winners are:

  • City of Belle Glade – Service Delivery Improvement Award for Home Rehabilitation Program
  • City of Lake Alfred – Quality of Life Award for CRA Residential Façade Grant Program
  • City of Punta Gorda – Quality of Life Award for Innovation in a Time of Recovery Project
  • City of South Bay – Quality of Life Award for Unity in the Community Day Project
