TAMARAC, Fla. (October 26, 2023) – The City of Tamarac, after a two-year construction period, is thrilled to announce the grand re-opening of its newly renovated Caporella Park with an official ribbon cutting and fall festival on Saturday, Oct. 28., at 1 p.m.
Following the ceremony, Tamarac’s elected officials, City staff and members of the Aiden Perry Good Samaritan Foundation will officially unveil the newly installed lifesaving ring buoys, which will surround the Park’s waterways.
Then guests of all ages can experience the Park's new multi-million dollar enhancements during the Fall-O-Ween Celebration and be the first to experience the Park’s the state-of-the-art splash pad, updated shaded playground and fitness area. Additional Park upgrades include a new amphitheater, non-motorized boat launch, picnic shelter, fishing pier, restrooms and concession area.
The Fall-O-Ween Celebration also offers an array of family-friendly fall-themed activities, including an enchanting magic show, delicious treats from local food vendors and hands-on arts and crafts activities.
The Caporella Park ribbon cutting and the Fall-O-Ween Celebration are free and open to the public. Event parking is limited. The City will provide free continuous shuttle service from Christian Life Center, 2699 W. Commercial Blvd. to Caporella Park, 5200 Prospect Road.
