[ARCHIVED] TAMARAC’S MILLENNIUM 6-12 COLLEGIATE ACADEMY RANKED AS THE TOP SCHOOL IN BROWARD COUNTY AND SECOND B

TAMARAC, Fla. (May 31, 2024) – The City of Tamarac proudly announces that Millennium 6 - 12 Collegiate Academy, located at 5803 NW 94th Ave., has achieved remarkable recognition as the highest-ranked public school in Broward County and the second-best school in the state of Florida. This ranking by U.S. News & World Report places the Academy among the top schools in the nation. 

This prestigious accomplishment is a testament to the dedication, hard work and excellence exhibited by the students, faculty and administration of Millenium 6-12 Collegiate Academy. The Academy’s commitment to providing a quality education and fostering an environment of rigorous and engaging instruction has set a new standard for educational achievement.  The City of Tamarac is extremely proud of this significant milestone. 

Leading with a commitment to excellence in education, the school is dedicated to preparing students for future success. “Our teachers are passionate and innovative, utilizing cutting-edge teaching methods and seamlessly integrating technology into the curriculum to create an engaging and dynamic learning environment,” Principal Dr. Gastrid Harrigan states. “This approach guarantees that our graduates are not only ready for higher education but also poised to become influential leaders in their chosen fields.”

U.S. News & World Report evaluates 25,000 public high schools nationwide and ranks them on six factors, including college readiness and graduation rates. The Tamarac school is ranked second best in Florida and 41 in the U.S., with a 100% graduation rate and a college readiness index of 97.7%. 

The Academy’s commitment to providing a quality education also shapes students' lives beyond the classroom.
